The UK 49ers are in a pre-season training camp in Encinitas, California. This is the first of two preseason camps they’ll hold in two weeks uk 49 s teatime results. This gives fans a chance to see what new coaches Jim Tomsula and Mike Mculla have in store for this year’s team. It also gives the fans a chance to see how Colin Kaepernick will fit into his new quarterback role. After two full seasons as the starting quarterback, it seems likely that he’ll be part of the team next year.

Two other positions that are being considered for the remaining NFL spots on the roster include running back and safety. Both of these positions require a lot of attention from players and coaches alike. These two positions are the favorites among the offensive players and coaches, but it could turn out to be a very competitive battle for the two spots on the roster. Michael Crabtree and Frank Gore are the leading running back tandem right now, but that could change before the regular season starts.
The recent news of the departure of John Elway, it also brings with it the possibility that Kyle Williams may be moved to safety. Many 49ers fans had hoped that Williams would move to inside in order to take over for John Elway at quarterback. If he is forced to play out of position, he’ll at least be able to help protect the quarterback and provide some much-needed depth. Gore is also a potential candidate for a move to safety, especially if an injury is sustained to either Tank (nee) or NaVorro (ankle). San Francisco already has three starting safeties (added Joaquin Mathis and James Jones) and one backup player (McClain).
With the addition of Kapernick to the practice squad, Michael Crabtree is now the only healthy tandem in the entire team. Crabtree has proven to be an excellent deep threat, but he and Kapernick will have to work very well together as the primary deep threats. Crabtree also has experience as a receiver out of the slot, which could factor into the passing game strategy. With veteran wide receiver Michael Crabtree out of the lineup, rookie Trent Edwards could see an increase in targets.
Cornerback Chris Culliver has been on the inactive list for most of the season. However, after injuring his foot early in the game against the Bears, he has been placed on the injured list. The emergence of Brandon Carr as the clear starter leaves some to wonder how his time on the shelf will affect the group. With Crabtree, Kapernick, and Culliver, the Niners appear to have three solid corners with the ability to start.
Quarterback Brian Bosworth has carted off the field with what appeared to be a serious injury. Although a lingering back injury may be to blame, the fact that the Niners did not appear willing to rush Bosworth on the field or to even place him in the starting lineup makes it a curious situation. Regardless, he’ll have to prove his worth this year as one of the fiercest competitors for the starting job opposite Clausen. If he can produce on the outside and on the inside, he has every right to stay in the lineup and compete for a roster spot. With Michael Crabtree, Frank Gore, and an improved receiving core, San Francisco has one of the best running back options in football.
