Let’s face it, buying dogs’ food can be a big hassle. Just like buying clothes or shoes, it just seems like so much work. There are so many brands, different kinds of food, and in order to find the right one, you’ll have to do lots of research.
Cows to being Dogs
The problem is, not everyone knows where to start. They think by going to their local pet store or grocery store they’ll be able to get the best dogs food for their money. But what they don’t realize is, it just doesn’t work that way.
Let’s expand on that by also saying that while it is higher costs you pay for it, that doesn’t mean it is always better food what are the best dry shampoo for dogs. If you’re spending that much, why would you even want to buy it in the first place? Why do you need to expand… why don’t you just stick with what works? Well, there’s a reason why people do this, it makes them money! By selling more products you make more money, and the more money you make, the more stores you go in, which means more money for you!
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s take a look at why dogs food cost so much in the first place. Well, it seems like a logical thing to assume that since puppies grow up so fast, they must be eating some really expensive stuff.
Well, it turns out that while the cost is higher now, it has been increasing steadily since the day humans started breeding dogs. In the past, there wasn’t much of a problem because puppies only lived for a few months or so before they were “spayed” and turned into adults. So obviously something was amiss back then, something caused the dog’s food cost to go through the roof.
What causes the dog’s food cost to go through the roof? Well, many of the cheaper breeds like the Yorkie and Chihuahua are generally pups that haven’t lived past the age of three. All other dogs eat a very cheap diet consisting of just beef, chicken, and eggs, and that’s it. The quality of meat they get is terrible, and the quality of eggs isn’t all that great.
Now we’re going to have to take a closer look at why dogs food cost so much money… It turns out that most of the high-priced foods that you see in the stores are pumped full of chemicals, preservatives, artificial colorings, and antibiotics. While these things may be good for us humans, they are not good for animals. If you’ve been raising your pet from three weeks old, you should know why the vet bills are so high. This is simply because a grown human can digest more food, and produce more waste than a tiny little Chihuahua can.
If you raise your pet from nine months to six months old, you are going to reduce your vet bills drastically, because the puppies are less likely to get sick. If you raise your pet from six months to two years old, again you are going to save money on vet bills. However, if you raise your Chihuahua from two years and older, you are going to end up paying more for vet bills because they are going to cost twice as much as a human dog! Can you begin to see how big of a difference a drastic change in your dog’s diet makes?
